The E Station is a new breed of business incubator, the likes of which have not been seen in Utah. Grow Utah Ventures has decided to create a better incubator. Located in downtown Ogden and Kaysville at the DATC, it is the first truly private business incubator in the state, and its express purpose is to grow businesses and further the vision that drives Grow Utah Ventures.

The E Station is focused on making young companies successful businesses. It is traditional in the sense that cubicles, phone lines, copy machines, and Internet access all come with the package.

Tenants are hand-selected from among the companies funded by Grow Utah Ventures and personally invited to move their operations from their basement, garage, or spare bedroom to the E Station campus.

Once a business is selected to move in to the E Station, they’re not just forgotten about, we really try to meet with them regularly, see what help they need, provide mentorship formally and informally, walk down the halls and chat with them, and make a lot of introductions.

It is this philosophy that launched Grow Utah Ventures: Provide financing, but also provide meaningful mentoring; business conditioning; and a circle of resources.

“The huge benefit for us is the mentorship it provides and the collaboration with the others that are going to be here,” says Ryan Wintle, CEO of Elemental Business, the first company to move into E Station. “There are a lot of relationships being developed, and that’s key to an entrepreneur.”

The E-Station in Ogden is located at 2501 Grant Ave, in the old Greyhound Bus Depot. The E-Station in Kaysville is located at the Davis Applied Technology College, 550 East 300 South in the Simmons Entrepreneurial Center.
