The Utah State University – College of Eastern Utah Cluster Strategy was completed in spring 2011 with much collaboration between USU-CEU, the Utah Cluster Acceleration Partnership (UCAP) and other entities in the region.
The final objective of this initiative is to accelerate the expansion of the regional economy in ways that will increase the vitality of businesses and promote job growth.
Four specific areas of focus comprise the priorities of the Snow College Regional Cluster Strategy:
- Accelerate transition to a new venture economy
- Accelerate business and cluster expansion/retention
- USU-CEU business and community engagement
- Enhance workforce skills
One of the key goals of the report is to transition to a new venture economy, meaning an economy that driven by the growth and success of entrepreneur-led businesses.
The USU-CEU Regional Cluster Strategy will serve as a basic blueprint for business development in the area and offers many recommended actions to promote change and business growth in the area.
